Recently a few of my Battle.net accounts have been compromised. Mainly only my Diablo 3 account.

Someone had access to one of my emails and also my battle.net accounts but I am unsure if they had access to my facebook or anything else.

I trying to figure out if this is a keylogger or if someone had hacked the email I was using.

I ran an avast security scan, and microsoft essentials security scan and nothing came up. I went over to a friends house and also switched all my accounts to a safe email address and linked my phone to the email address so that it needs phone verification in order too log onto the secure email.

I have been thinking of completely wiping my computer and re-installing windows but I don't want to do so if I don't have too.

I wouldn't guess keylogger. People at work have been talking about lots of D3 accounts being hacked. I haven't heard about it in a week or so, but that doesn't mean they slowed or stopped.

Anyway too know for sure?

The last thing I would want is a repeat of what happened...

most likely someone got your email info and just requested a pw change and deleted the mails
keylogger would trigger av on any self respecting users computer where email breach can remained un noticed for quite some time

the only way to be 100% sure is format and reinstall Windows....but....you can try this first, because BattleNet was hacked a while back and lost a lot of account info.



Try this first...



Computer Cleaning and Disinfection

1.... Go here, get SuperAntiSpyware (free): http://www.superantispyware.com/ ...save it to desktop.
2.... Go here, get TDSSKiller.exe http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/solutions?qid=208280748 save it to ur ...desktop.
3.... Install and update SuperAntiSpyware.
4.... UN hook Internet cable from back of comp....Reboot into safemode and run a FULL scan with SuperAntiSpyware...remove w/e it finds.
5.... Reboot back into normal mode and run TDSSKiller.exe following the directions where you downloaded it. Do w/e fixes/cures it suggests.
6.... Put your Windows CD/DVD in the optical drive....go to: START > Run and type: sfc /scannow and click OK...it takes about 20 mins to run, or less. RE-hook Internet Cable to back of comp.
7.... Using Internet Explorer go here: http://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/run ...and run a FULL scan...remove w/e it finds.
8.... Get CCleaner here: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download from the Prirform link. Install it and run both the CLEANER and the scan for ISSUES, remove w/e IT finds.
9.... Get Glary Utilities here: http://www.glaryutilities.com/ ....install it and run it's TRACKS ERASER and it's REGISTRY SCANNER and DISK CLEANUP...remove w/e they find.
10...Get Malwarebytes (free) here: http://www.malwarebytes.org/ ...from the GREY Download Now button....install it, update it, and run a full scan...remove w/e it finds.
11...Get Spybot Search & Destroy (altho the link changes a lot) here: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/home/index.html ...update it and make SURE you do the Immunizations, which are the real reason for having this program. They will protect your browsers from becoming infected.
