OK, I need to monitor the traffic over my wireless network, so I'd like to find some user-friendly packet sniffer software.

I have tried using a few to no avail. (Ethereal, and a few others - the problem is my ADMIN Comp is a 32-Bit Windows XP box.)

It's humbling to admit, but I haven't even been able to get one to install properly.

I consider myself to be fairly proficient with computers, and I learn quickly, but I have been running out of patience rapidly.

Could someone please recommend an easy-to-install, easy-to-use FREE packet sniffer (compatible with 32-Bit Windows XP)?

What do you guys use on your networks?

I've used Charles (or Charlie? whatever) for testing purposes during development.

Get a good wireless card ( I use the alpha AWUS036H ) and a lightweight linux distro ( personally use slackware )

Wireshark for high level stuff

TCPDump ( / tshark? never used it ) if you prefer commandline

Also : this has nothing to do with web programming.. or programming at all
