Hi there

I'm running windows 7 home premium 64 bit on an HP Envy 14 laptop. Whenever I try to open diablo 2 LOD my screen goes black and flashes and then comes up with an access violation error. I have tried google and everything and it tells me to update to the latest patch and also run in compatibility mode with windows xp service pack 2/3 and also to run in 256 colours and disable desktop composition. Also tells me to run as admin.

I have tried everything and it STILL won't work! Can anybody help me out?

"C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe" -w right click your d2 icon and put that on your target run it in window mode i had the same problem

Right click icon, run as administrator. It might also give you the option for compatibility mode and select windows 7.
