Hey!

I baught a laptop like 2 years ago.
And i have had this problem, the computer runs fine & dandy then shutdown -.- (due to near over-heating)

So i want a program to warn me when my computer is perhaps 5 or so minutes from over heating or perhaps a certain degree from over heating.

Something that would let me know, okay its time to stop playing & start doing something else for a while.

Any help will be greatly appriciated!
Also never ever buy a laptop with great specs -.- Chances are the fans are to bad to handle the heat...

Normaly i've got a external fan running.
But im at my GF house atm so, cant really bring a table fan there ^^

this seems more appropriate than the coding forum.

Most computers should have something in the BIOS that monitors temperatures for auto shutdown. To get into the BIOS you usually hit F2 or Delete on the very first screen when you turn your computer on. Otherwise you could download Speedfan and use the Events to set it up through that program. It also offers lots of fan/temperature monitoring.

blow the vents to remove dust, use it on a desk and you won't overheat normally.

and this
