What type of software development processes have you used? What part of the processes are you part of?

Are you involved in just design/coding or do you get to participate in developing requirements, contracts, testing/QA, support, etc.?

I work on a small team of 4 that consists of myself, two others and our head of development. We use scrumm and do 3 week iterations and we cover requirements gathering, planning and testing/QA. The only thing the 3 of us don't do is requirements prioritization, which is handled by the head of development and the head of the business unit.

Agile scrum seems to be getting very popular. Some of the teams in my organization are starting to adopt it, and the company I was at prior had a big campaign for adopting scrum wherever possible. Daily standup meetings can get kind of annoying when you're working on larger tasks and all you have to report is that you're still working on the same thing.

I'm still on the fence with regards to how I feel about scrumm. The standups do tend to be a pain and most people (myself included sometimes) tend to be way too verbose. You are really only supposed to give what you are working on and what you plan to work on after.
