About a week ago randomly getting a popup that says nothing other than "Search not found" and has the ok button which closes the window. It has become more frequent and sometimes I get up to 3 at one time. My first guess was that this was some odd piece of malware, but I have Avast, Malwarebytes, Trojan Remover, Spybot S&D, and Immunet and none of them find anything. I can't find anything through searching online or through Microsoft's website. I'm also pretty aware of the processes I have normally running, and nothing looks unusual (I've had to go through and Google processes in the past to track down viruses and the like).

Anyone have a conjecture?

1. Nothing unusual. I'm a CSC student and quite knowledgeable when it comes to computers. I've downloaded literally nothing suspicious and scan everything I download anyway. That's why I can't find a solution; if I knew the source it would be much easier.
2. No, it's a W7 popup (which is why I figured it was malware or adware).
3. Sorry. I looked through the computer section and felt this was the most pertinent place to [p]ost it (though admittedly I didn't exactly peruse the sub-forums). I don't like to post computer related threads in the general help section because the majority of posts are from people less knowledgeable than me (about computers).

First off, thank you for the help. However, I have already came across that site and tried all of the suggestions to no avail. Now, that being said...wow you are incredibly brash and arrogant. I did in fact search on both Google and Microsoft's website (as the OP quite clearly states) and did in fact find that site and it wasn't helpful. Now, let us imagine for a second that I had in fact missed that website you linked me to. Would that really be cause enough to warrant such blatant disrespect? Your communication skills need some serious work man.

Edit: As for your comment about posting in general help: For one, General Help would not in fact be the appropriate place for this thread (I just now saw the help section under Computer Hardware...which, if I may say, is an entirely illogical place for it). However, let us imagine (for a second time) that was actually the case. Do you honestly believe posting something like that would actually accomplish anything? It would just result in spam and trolling.

I didn't post a screen shot because I determined you weren't worth my time lol...I think it's pretty funny that anything you could possibly say would make me mad...That would require that I place some kind of importance on something you say.
Edit: All I expected was that you have some sense of decency or code of ethics. I really couldn't care less either way though...I'm just not going to bother talking to you anymore if that's how you're going to act lol.

Actually, eaglesite helps a lot in the forum, you just need to browse through some topics to see it. Don't worry about his way of talking though, you just get used to it and learn to ignore the harsh part of his posts.

You should post the screenshot so everyone can see the error anyway.
