I recommend Java, Python and C++

Java and Python are perfect entry-level languages to make games.
Blizzard games are made in C++, and you'll need ALOT of time to make a good game in C++, so it's not the firsthand recommendation to a hobby programmer. So, pick the two others, learn one first atleast, then maybe go over to C++, if you still have the motivation and determination.

Well with things like the XNA framework w/ C# makes creating games a lot easier than it was years ago with C++ (in my opinion) even so it still requires you to learn the language (you will have to do this in any route anyway)

I started with C then moved onto C++ and then about 3 years ago I moved onto C#.
