i'm going over tutorials on Spring Boot. i've been deploying my WAR files for my restful services to jboss, but spring boot lets me create stand alone jars.

LOL

my one friend from college was a sys admin for like 4+ years before he got a java job.

he would tell me hilarious stories from customers.

apparently shit like "DO THE NEEDFUL" and "PLEASE ADVICE" were common email messages

went through a brief objective c tutorial. seriously, we have to call methods using brackets instead of using a dot? and we can't concatenate strings with a plus sign? silly. i wanna go over a swift tutorial soon.

the youtube 2.0 api i was using to fetch subscriptions quit working. v3 looks really horrible to get the same info. luckily i found someone who did it for me: https://github.com/ali1234/ytsubs

now i'm just gonna store a list of "collections" where i can group my subscriptions: chess, food, music, etc.
