i've also used it to access private members because the library we were using had private members that i needed access to. i could either alter the third party's source code or use reflection. neither one really sounded great, but that's what i did.

we had some pagestate which is just a string. it includes all the controls by their fully qualified name and their properties. we used reflection to load that at runtime.

i also wanted a candy bar out of the vending machine before. i didn't have any money, so i used reflection to create an instance of the vending machine and told it to release D4. it didn't work, but that would totally be a good use case.

Also why is TOTP so finicky but every website and platform seems to make it work flawlessly. I am testing my home brew TOTP method on 2 servers, and since the unix epoch is out of sync by more than 30 seconds (one is like 80 seconds faster than the other) the codes always mismatch.

my coworker has similar experience with graylog and docker. been trying for weeks to get it working the way he wants, but the web is full of good reviews. clearly the illuminati paid bots to impersonate people and write positive reviews. they even have well placed typos.

Well I am just wondering if every fucking server/phone keeps syncing their time 24/7 or if they are fucking around with how they calculate the TOTP.

As it stands right now between my home server and other server it is like 71 seconds out of sync, which with a 30 second window one server is 2 and a half codes further in time than the previous.

There are a million free tutorials on youtube. The best way is to just start coding and research specific problems that come up.

AngularJS uses directives which just makes coding a bit quicker and cleaner.

codeschool.com is great and has several free ones to get your feet wet in several topics. It doesn't get super advanced to an enterprise level but it'll help you get the basics down.

Once you can code in one language, you have the skillset to code in every language.
