What rule would your post be breaking? None. So why would they waste time and delete the post?

Probably for the same reason you decided to post this: just cuz.

because I asked them to? It is their jobs, no?

I don't see why a post has to break a rule for them to delete something.

You say "waste time" but I guarantee it is literally a button they can press.

Is that so hard, or are the mods just that lazy?

Sometimes I think it's faster to just post a link to my server with an image, and then when I need the post deleted to change the image on my server to a giant dick. This way I can report my own post and have it removed when I want, but still maintain control of when it is closed.

that is basically how you have to do it. Since very little control is given to the users on this forum, because "someone might try to delete a post where the scammed in" or something along those lines...smh.

Well, I almost feel kinda sad cause this is kind of like the end of a journey.

Without getting into too much detail, I was offered a job (which I plan to accept)

I will start most likely after graduation.

It has been a crazy ride. Starting from nothing and working to where I am now in the world of CS.

I would like to thank everyone who has kind of tagged along for the ride. I will most likely continue to post here, possibly with cool tidbits of what I learn on the job.

But for the most part, this thread has essentially come to its soft 'conclusion', as I will soon have finished my degree and started an actual software engineering job (ACTUAL TITLE!! I IS ENGINEER NAO)

So yeah. Woohoo!

Still gotta finish my compilers homework though....

We want all the dirty details.

Congrats on your job B) Once they call you in to talk just to the VP, you're pretty much in.

Haha, thanks!

The place is really awesome. Very laid back, kitchens on both floors. Seems easy to communicate with other people. Best of all, it is, at the core, a software development company, so the developers are treated awesome it would seem.

I will most like start training after I graduate.

As said before, it is a VB.NET house. No more C for me!

since it's all .NET, you can still write code in C#. you can flag methods as native and still write in C to feel your coworkers squirm ;)
