Lies. between earth and mars there is a china teapot revolving about the sun in an elliptical orbit. the teapot is too small to be revealed even by our most powerful telescopes. it's been around long before humans explored space, so who do you think put it there? sherlock holmes once said when you rule out the impossible, whatever remains (however improbable) must be the truth. clearly wasn't human, so it must have been FSM.

science proves God exists yet again!

Shall you march through the valley of darkness to bring words of wisdom to those who have not been enlightened as for you, the enlightened one, must inform those who do not wish to conform even though it shall mean exiling yourself from your peers.

God bless.

there is a class, JFileChooser, which opens up a file explorer window. It took me like 3 lines of code to open the explorer, save the path and append it as a string to my gui text field thingy.

have you started a personal java utilities class yet? you should keep one for whatever languages you end up using.

also look into apache's string utils for java. makes dealing with strings much easier.

I kind of have my foot in the door at this web development place, and I think they all use VB there.

Soooo I think I might need to get familiar with html5 (they are switching soon from silverlight) and linq

I'd say almost as popular as python. There is lots of big name application's crested with it and its constantly being updated. It's a bit rough around the edges but it adds charm ya kno.

Anyways I didn't learn it as a popularity thing. I wanted a CLI scripting language which had an extensive core that was cross platform and I disliked pythons static typing so ruby was the other choose. For small scripts to mid sized projects I love ruby but if I needed any thing serious done I'd just work in c.

I must say being about to pound out proof of concept code for different theories in little time is a plus but that can Elbe said with any language you're proficient in.
