Pretty excited today!

Got a call back from the company I interviewed for and we started discussing pay and when I could start, I think I got the internship!

Also, I found out that instead of taking a class with a professor I know is bad next semester, me and 2 friends will be able to get credit thru an independent study! (working together on a joint project)

We were thinking of making an encrypted message service for android phones. Still very much in the early stages of ideas but it could go anywhere.

not sure, I told them there was probably an app like that already.

It is mostly for educational purposes though. We might try and make it more user friendly if we have to.

I personally wanted to have a system where the decrypted messages would be sent back to the users phone via sms, so you don't have to load a separate application to view them. Not sure how feasible that is.

eh? i thought the point of encrypting messages is so only encrypted messages leave the device?

Yeah I didn't quite think that through.

I discussed it earlier with one of the guys and he mentioned that, lol.

We were thinking of possibly making the application the default message sending program if possible for a user.

Learned about sql in the web programming class today

I already knew about it and databases in general but man...

I keep having this feeling that sometime, someday I will accidentally drop everyones shit.

I got the internship!!!

I start on the 19th.

They are .NET developers who do a lot of contracting work.

I will be working with the home office developers they have.
