Finished the class with an A! Woot!

Again I gotta echo that one post....I really learned a lot that I didn't know before about computers and security. It is frightening to think a lot of our entire infrastructure hangs on the balance of these assumptions that have been made about certain algorithms and mathematical complexity....

I still must go on, however.

Fall is coming up this monday, got some meaty stuff to work on this semester.

Assembly language programming

Web Programming

Design and Analysis of Algorithms (gotta pay extra close attention here!)

Programming Languages (not to be confused with compilers, taking that later. This is a lecture course on different languages and syntax/semantics I believe.)

other than that, still just trucking along.

Still have the same random thoughts about if I am the shittiest programmer in the world or not because I don't know as much as other people about random stuff, like server applications or game development. I try to pay close attention when people discuss it, but I personally haven't dabbled much.

Ah well. I have confidence in my ability to learn/adapt so I think I can run with that.

looking forward to finally figuring how to translate procedure efficiency/time complexity into mathematical functions

one of the bigger things in CS I wanted to learn how to do.

so algorithms is just soul-grinding mathematical analysis and application

the programming languages class has so far been several long lectures on BNF grammar and parse trees

web programming is kinda neat and seems like it would be a pretty laid back career (only done html/css so far, though)

Assembly so far the most interesting class. I had an idea of how loops worked internally but now it was confirmed.

aka you havent dont web programming yet. that's more web design than programming. the other classes sound about right though.

yeah probably. I feel dirty writing html tbh. Doesn't feel right.

Too much shit happens with so little effort

Browsers too strong

HTML and CSS are markup/layout languages. They aren't supposed to crazy complicated, they are supposed to be expressive and clean.

Yeah. My friend was telling me when I get into JS/php etc that it will feel a little more like the usual programming I've done.

Honestly, I'd Suggest taking a Crash course / Boot camp for the type of code you are interested in.
