Okay so I am looking to hopefully put a team together in possibly making a new FPS RPG Survival based game as there becoming increasingly popular and who knows maybe we can even have it uploaded to steam and start making some real money on this project... I know a little bit of programming but know more about storylining and or ideas on what to make the game like, If anyone may be interested just let me know, looking for a team of at least 15.. ideas for a base game are also taken to consideration. thank you

I asked this question because I knew what the answer would be. Let me put it in simple terms for you:

"Idea" people are worthless. Especially when your idea isn't original or new: http://adil.io/entrepreneurship/ideas-are-worthless-execution-is-everything/. You can't program. You can't do graphic design. The only thing you can do is come up with ideas and if you've never written or designed a game before they will probably be shit. This is just a fact of life in the industry and these things come with experience.

That said, I come to the second problem: money. I'm a software engineer by trade. I could very well drop everything in my life and help you write your game but if did that I would be homeless and broke. People need money to survive and if you are going to get a complicated game like this put together in a releasable state you are looking at a few full time programmers for at least a year. You might be able to get some part timers for free, but the quality will be shit and it will take forever.

You are being way too ambitious here. The reason indie games happen is because a person or a couple of people basically drop what they are doing in order to follow their passion and make it in the industry. They typically are talented programmers and designers as well who have done smaller projects in the past. They aren't "idea guys" they are people capable of executing the whole thing from start to finish. This isn't you, so I would suggest you start learning to program and make some simpler games first. Try to get those up on indie sites/steam and then work up from there.
