sigh, well as I said before, if you really believe that and tell your ISP what's going on, they almost have to change your IP address (even though IP addresses aren't really private information anyway so anyone who interacts with you online on a regular basis can grab it if they really want to).

I would suggest downloading a program such as "nmap" and scanning your network for open/vulnerable ports and closing them in the off chance your computer is actually under attack.

You only get "ddosed" (ddos implies tons of people are attacking you at the same time by the way) if you have insecure network settings.

Identical to saying

Hardly a fair comparison because there are significantly more people capable of bullying than there are effectively bringing down networks, and I think you meant "low emotional tolerance" not "bad immune system". But at least with "cyber bullying" I'd agree with that point to an extent anyway.

funny that you mention it

after theowing a gibberish like that, which you probably don't even understand and probably never even used nmap.

tell me how only "network with insecure settings" can be ddosed or how closing ports will prevent it? TELL ME PLEASE I NEED TO KNOW

Oops missed this. As you'll notice from my earlier posts, I made it pretty clear that I doubt the "ddos scenario" so I suggested something to check the integrity of his network in general.

People don't just get ddos'd, I feel like you're one of those people that's like "LOL GIVE ME UR IP AND I WILL GO TO COMMAND PROMPT AND SPAM PING YOU UNTIL YOU CAN'T GET ONLINE ANYMORE"

This thread has run its course so I'll leave you all with some funny computer humor:

its really simple. change the mac address on your gateway device (your router if you use one). Your ISP will be forced to issue you a new IP; or your connection will stop working ;) .

i laughed.

there are to many cheap "booters" as kids like to call them out there that produce up to 3gbps of traffic, hell i can list like 2-3, not to mention there is an entire website in plain view dedicated for people to sell them. thats why you see a bunch of xbox kids getting hit all day seeing how its pretty easy to snipe an ip off xbox live.

trying to make out like obtaining these services is for the "elite hackers" are laughable. just about any 14 year old with a paypal can get some hefty pipes.

not to mention there are such simple methods out there to make your own attacks. dns reflection is one of the easiest methods there is and currently holds the record for the biggest attack vector recorded at almost 65gbps or something.
