And in any case, digging deeper reveals that "Programming, Motherfucker" is just some religion started up by Shaw to rebel against processes and various software development methodologies. While he's certainly done some great work with his books (i.e. LPTHW), this "movement" (if you can even call it that) isn't exactly one of his brightest ideas... much less the t-shirt.

Also, initial response to the phrase without knowledge of any deeper context is still a valid reaction - and most likely the one you'll get from people when you wear the shirt.
