Anyone have any project example ideas? I just don't know what to work on to get the practice.
Been spending a lot of time watching tutorials and just coding along that way but would like to take something on alone.

I just heard Python was an easy language to start off with to get an understanding of programming, should I keep with Python or 180 over to c++?

Just learn python. For what you want to do pyGame and python will carry you through until you want to pick up a real game framework. By that point learning another language will become easy.
