There's no fighting here, just corrections of idiocy.

Quote (Wiki)
The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which relatively unskilled persons suffer illusory superiority, mistakenly assessing their ability to be much higher than it really is. Dunning and Kruger attributed this bias to a metacognitive inability of the unskilled to recognize their own ineptitude and evaluate their own ability accurately. Their research also suggests corollaries: highly skilled individuals may underestimate their relative competence and may erroneously assume that tasks which are easy for them are also easy for others.

all i meant, was just a joke

Don't worry, apparently describing program flow through a visual debugger is to much for someone to comprehend via text.

He thinks understanding a call stack requires a 400 lvl course. You typically learn about them by recursion. Which last I checked is part of a freshman algorithms course. Carteblanche hit the nail on the head. We have our very own Ghot.

Speaking of which, do y'all remember Muted and that damn Snake program?

i'm sure you guys are very smart and fantastic programmers, i'm positive ur better than a measly IS guy like me

i didn't mean to step on anyone's toes, i thought that learning what the command does logically in terms of the JAVA code would have been more valuable than overwhelming information on how the compiler is interacting with hardware.
you completely stepped over the code. writing pseudocode that can't be implemented in the language, in response to a guy asking about basic syntax.

the first line of your post references the registry, the stack, and addresses, none of which i knew anything about until my third semester

i truly meant no offense to anyone, i just remember asking questions on here when i was first starting out and responses like that left me more confused than when i came

I apologize for any offense

e. if this is what you mean by a ghot... well idk if you're being sarcastic or not but it's true... i'm learning 4 languages right now, taking 15 hours of coursework + an internship, and with the upcoming aitp ncc coding competitions, wtf else do i have time for, i barely have time to stop by here and get harassed by you jerks...

cry wish i understood now,

it was an observation, not an insult. Ghot is a user from the hardware section. He has a lot of experience and knowledge. he means well and tries to help people. Some of his posts are very helpful/interesting. Other posts are full of misinformation, which show the gaps in his knowledge. when anyone tries to correct him, he goes into bulldog mode and defends for all his teeth are worth.
