Well most of what you stated are things I would definitely not do, because I don't assume anyone's intelligence when I answer a question until they have shown me they have an understanding of the material.

My issue isn't with people not understanding what I deem common sense. My issues aren't with people being unable to learn quickly. It isn't even with people asking the same questions over and over again.

It's the way they ask the questions. It's their lack of enthusiasm in learning. The lazy will ask a generic question and expect every answer they require. This is a terrible way to learn.

If you want to learn something, do a basic Google search on it. Read a little bit and get a rough overview of the subject. Nothing major. Just enough that you can identify what that subject is. Then pick a couple things about it that you want to focus on and come up with some questions about that thing.

THEN go ask the experts. Ask those experts those specific questions so that they can give you directed guidance. Once they respond, absorb it, apply it to what you currently know (your over view at this point) and then formulate a new question set taking this new information into account.

Rinse and repeat. Any eeducator or enthusiast worth his salt will respond to his approach and will appreciate you more because you have a vested interest in learning.

This is the approach you take from stage 1. Because stage 1 is a red herring. You always know something about what you don't know. You know the name of the subject. And that is enough to get the ball rolling.

Contrast this with the posts I have vented my frustrations on. Where they can't even be bothered to do that preliminary Google search.

You will find if you search my post history that I have two personalities. On one hand, I will openly troll those who show no effort in learning. On the other hand, to those who show even the slightest interest in learning I will jump through hoops to guide them. I will go out of my way to make my knowledge their knowledge in an attempt to satiate their hunger for self improvement and education.

So please don't get the wrong idea about me. I may be onorthodoxed, but to those that actually want to learn I am effective.
