I've never coded on a Mac but from what I've seen Coda seems like a really cool editor. Since that costs money, I'd go on Google and search for "free coda alternatives" which would set me up with a free, really cool editor.

Sublime Text isn't an IDE, it's still just a text editor. A really good one though.

It does have a buy link and the front page (on a Mac, at least) doesn't have any indication that it's free until you click through and see that it's nagware.

I would use Sublime Text as a text editor and IntelliJ/Netbeans as an IDE
