c# is more used and can do everything that java does, with less errors

Trust me, not many software companies use C#. I've been working as a software developer for 4 years and no one I know uses it.

Java is most popular, followed by C/C++, VB, Pyhton, then C#.

Don't get me wrong, C# is my favorite and most preferred language. I use it all the time when doing independent work.

Also, Python and Ruby are useless, weak languages, only used for scripting.

It's funny how he calls python one of most popular languages and not a paragraph later he says it's useless.

Python and Ruby are used for much much more than just simple scripting. Hell, reddit was written in python at first and twitter in ruby. They are by no means small sites.

How can you have been employed as a software developer for 4 years and have opinions that are this wrong?

It's not my opinion. It's fact. Just wait till you guys try to get jobs with C#, Python and Ruby on your resumes. No one will hire you.

Do you live in some sort of weird parallel universe? My area is overflowing with really great jobs that are a mix of Python/Django, Ruby on Rails and C# (really popular with the medical imaging and equipment companies here for some reason).

I just checked kijiji for jobs and these are the first 5, 3 of them are java.

Java Team Lead Web Applications/Design (Downtown) - Java

Hardware/Software Engineer - Java

J2EE Java Developers - Java

Software Developers - C#

Startup seeks developer - shitty python (no wonder he's just starting a company)
