I just purchased the "Jumping into C++" e-book!

Looking forward to get started reading it!

(I chose C++ instead of C)

you really need pointers and machine-level programming in the first step?! ^_^
better start with a easy language like python to learn some basics about algorithm and then get started with object oriented programming.
if you have understand those basics you can go for c++ or c, but i guess you dont wanna switch to those languages after that, most people just use c/c++ if they are forced to use them.

lol. this thread has demonstrated his abilities (or rather their total absence) to read and follow advice. i highly doubt there's any point left in trying to steer him in the right direction.

i look forward to his upcoming threads asking dumb C++ questions that have little value in actual programming.
