Yeah. For instance, I bought a motherboard years ago that handled the ATX power standard a bit weirdly and not quite in spec. The board would refuse to post with my PSU at the time and I filed a support ticket. An engineer from ASUS emailed me to tell me that for my particular PSU on that particular board there was a quirk that kept it from posting. I ended up just getting a different board.

oh i read the motherboard manual it says PME wake-up only works if u have a special power supply that support 5v or something like that

I use a mac so it really doesn't apply to me.
