I don't even have the confidence to build a single function for a game, let alone work to make an entire one.

still soo much to learn ~_~

It's surprising how much learning starts to accelerate as time goes on.

inb4 final product is worse than a game made through rpg maker... Not saying I could personally do better (my recent gamemaking venture made me realize quickly that i suck at sprites) but it is a lot more work than just "hai guise, I'm learning coding; lets make the next halo of duty, except we'll use 3 people instead of 1,000+ and a time frame of a month or 2 instead of 5 years. kay?"

code yourself a "game of life" without any direct code copying (i.e. non game of life programs if u use others' code snippets), get the fundamentals of programming down (much more important to know HOW the code works than just textbook regurgitation of a specific language), then I'd suggest coming back for artists and fellow programmers.
