teaching an online class at community college requires no work and pays pretty well, also at least the community college i went to was part of the school district so they get all the perks of government employment like discounted higher education etc
besides everyone's got their own shit going on, one of my professors at cc had 12 kids, another was working on his doctorate, another was a retired dba. at least the school i went to seemed to prioritize experience over education alot of professors with just bachelors degrees.
but having seen both i felt like the teachers at the cc were more interested in teaching than some professors at university that just need to make sure they fail enough people every semester
