Asking for a specific college is not a good idea here.

Especially not when you have issues that make it so you can't attend classes regularly

Ahh, my bad then for interpreting it that way.

Anyways, there are a ton of resources for starting out online - Computer __________ is no longer a hipster field (until someone corrects me and lists something like "computer therapy").

Specifically for Computer Engineering though, I am not quite sure. I am a Computer science major myself.

CE seems much more of a related/sister degree of Electrical Engineering. I suggest checking out resources for that first, as most likely the majority of a CE degree will be about EE stuff.....

Massively Online Open Course.
MOOCs

You can take literally any college class for free online in a MOOC format. If you are more interested in learning the skills/content I would seriously look into a few of them instead of a online college....

rather than spending thousands and coming out with a piece of paper that says you're a bachelor of engineering because you gobbled the mans dick for 4 years....

The STEM school I attended had a engineering program; no offense but it seemed to be all the people too smart to be a mechanic but too stupid to write code and actually enter the CS field.

That is about all the input I have; hope it helps.

Generally speaking, those are different things. Computer science would be more aligned with programming, while computer engineering will be more like electronic engineering. If you want to get into programming, I'd say to pick a language, any language, and Google it. Everything you could possibly want to know about them and how to use them is freely available online.
