I have Windows 7 64bit installed on a partition; however, I want to install Windows 7 32bit on the partition now. Do I need to uninstall the 64bit or can I just install over it with the 32bit to replace it?

You don't even have to uninstall. Windows 64bit includes 32bit. You just have to split it.

Go to C:/Windows
Right click on the folder and select properties
click advanced
check the box that says "Convert to 32-bit"
This will now give you two system32 folders inside the Windows directory (64 bit is just 2 installations of 32 bit added together)

And there you go. If you ever want to go back to 64 bit just uncheck that box and it will revert

I can't find a valid reason for doing that, why do you want to do it? 32bit programs run fine in 64...

32bit programs actually run twice as fast on 64 bit systems. The reason is, like I said above, 64bit is just 2 installations of 32 bit combined into one. This means it has double the power.

Likewise with 16 bit applications which run 4 times as fast.

if you don't see the option, you might need to jailbreak it.
