I'm looking for something in high demand in the job market.... but ummm I tried learning C before and it had to meany sticking points where I got stuck.... I tried C++ which was very nice/fairly easy to learn....
and mmm I guess C/C++ provide a nice foundation to learn before starting other languages.....
and mmm C is for system programming mostly, not sure what C++ is for besides game dev and
but mmm I'm basically wanting to learn something that will provide quick results to develop stuff
hopefully without developing bad programming habits or making it harder to learn other languages
maybe you guys can provide me with the pros/cons
If you think all it takes to get a job is knowledge of a language then you are in for a rude awakening. That's like buying a gallon of Draino and calling yourself a plumber.
There is an entire field of study enveloping Software Development. And just based on the fact that you can't think of a single thing C++ is used for besides game development shows that you have got a lot to learn. I wouldn't be thinking about jobs right now.
