I stumbled across this on the internet and thought someone might enjoy it.

Nice. I almost bought a mac book but it was just out of my price range and I wanted to be able to upgrade some of the stuff. I ended up getting a System76 Galago UltraPro and am tooling around on Linux distros. The only problem is I received a bad IPS screen with a lot of back-light so they are going to replace it. Then I can get some stickers.

i havent heard of system76 before. are they better than lenovo? i've been passively looking around for a 17 inch laptop with a matte display, but havent gotten around to buying one yet.

So far I have really been really enjoying mine besides a faulty screen. Upon which they offered to fix once I sent proof of the bad screen. (attached pictures, etc.) IIRC they are a small company out of Colorado. Very helpful support staff, nice people, Linux enthusiast, and an overall solid product. Mind you they are rebranded laptops with a few feature changes and they come with Ubuntu. I've heard arguments that you can find the laptop cheaper and I found the model I got for 100 bucks less but I wanted a solid company backing my product.

Edit: Damn phone keeps hitting reply when I type...
