This is a random question, not completely sure if I'm in the right forum board, but I figured the programmers should understand this better than most. I'm working with Fraps video recording for my Minecraft videos. (If you have a better one to suggest, please tell me. I'd love to record audio too but Fraps isnt working for that.) How much space do my videos take on average? Lets say I were to make a 1 minute video, a 1 hour video, and a 1 day video of straight minecraft. What amount of space (in Megabytes, Gigabytes, or Terabytes (doesnt matter which, i can convert)) would these videos take up on my harddrive? I want to know because I'd love to take extra long videos in case something happens that's worth taking a video of. I miss a lot of great things because I'm just not always recording. Would love some help!

If I'm in the wrong forum all around, I'm very sorry. If you could please point me in the right direction I'll leave here immediately!

Also, not to bump so soon, but I'm still on the top of the forum list. I've googled. I get so many Yahoo! Answers garbage I'm afraid to take any of their advice >_<. So yeah, I've googled it and maybe I'm searching for it wrong, but I'm just not confident with answers I've read.

Would depend on your monitor resolution and what FPS setting you're using in fraps

It also depends on what you're recording.. "1 day video of straight minecraft" could be you building something in the sky, with 70% of pixels being light blue, that would reduce video size by a lot compared to a highres texture pack moving around on the ground.

why dont you record 1 min, 10 min, 100 min, 200 min, 300 min, 500 min, etc and look at the pattern in the size?

Did anyone create a GUI in visual basic to track down the data space required for minecraft movies yet?
