Well, whatever is easiest to manage on my side, I am very good with learning these things quickly, I just want people to be able to make an account, log in, and have maybe like 10 different sections, with 1 discussion topic in each section.

Then maybe a general one.

They're all pretty easy to manage, they're designed to be. bbpress (wordpress plugin), punbb, phpbb ... OR if it's really simple you can use only wordpress, and use comments for discussion. Make a post eg. about POKEMONS, add some lead discussion text as post and comments for discussion.

disqus plugin is nice, allows threaded comments, nice filtering of spam etc
