Yes javascript is software you can use. You're using it now.

no i need to learn java and i'm trying to find some good beginner tools just so it push the learning process a bit
so i feel i'm achieve something and not just stand at beginner level to long time

Just to be clear, Java != Javascript

Notepad++ and a web browser are the only tools you need for javascript.

Use Eclipse for Java

It has code refactoring, intellisense, svn support, a gui builder plugin, automatic code reformatting, and tons of hotkeys and shortcuts.

Just so you know that's for Java not Javascript. Two very different things.
