tl;dr don't focus on learning a language, focus more on the underlying concepts of computer science. If you want to know the best language for learning computer science, everyone has opinions but the general consensus I found is that people believe the syntax of a language should interfere as little as possible with your learning process. So, using something like python would be good as you would spend less time on the syntax and more time learning the useful shit.

Start with Java. It's the most popular language right now and one of the easiest to learn.

You can do more with Java than any other language.

PC / Mac OS applications, games, web application, servlets, Android apps, etc

c# is more used and can do everything that java does, with less errors

What does this even mean? Seriously this is totally meaningless and vague.

Because it enforces a coding style and convention that is readable. That's really important.

Python is a very good language to start. But if you don't want to do it, try Ruby.

That said, a good IDE is invaluable for a developer, and it's impossible to write a good ide for truly dynamic languages. So you might try looking at C# with Visual Studio. C++ should be easy for beginners with the new standard, but I've yet to see a tutorial that doesn't start with C-style string manipulation, C-style arrays and is full of pointers.

tl;dr: Python/Ruby/C#
