I don't see this happening. Programming, especially larger projects such as games, is not just about making code compile. It's about the core architecture of your project, for instance the design choices you make, as well as your optimization. You need to add some sort of graphics on top of that.

If you jump head-first with no experience into a project like this, you're going to contemplate suicide whenever you find out you need to refactor, well, anything.

Start off easy with "boring" stuff that will get you comfortable in c++, and read up on software theory to go with it. If you aim for your first program to be a game, you're going to abandon it before you even get started.

when you get strong bases on cpp you can start by learning the options you have on graphics, ive been using SFML as a starting point. there's many more graphics libraries, though. some people prefer DarkGDK, SDL (i wouldn't recommend this because it's now considered old), and there's many more out there, some free, some not.

look up Udacity. They have a lot of free classes. If you learn better in a structured manner, this would help out a lot. Now they teach everything using Python, but that's not bad. Once you learn one language, translating that in to another won't take that long. What's important is learning the basic skills and theory of programming. Knowing what looping means, how to do different types of searches, etc. are important stuff that will carry through every programming language.
Basically, once you know how to do it in one language, a simple google search will help you do it in another language.

I agree with them. Don't try jumping into a graphical gaming project with little knowledge of a language. You're seething yourself up for failure. Console gaming would be okay however. I recommend you check out that book in my previous post, it starts with cpp basics and teaches you how to create console games as you go.

I myself started of looking at simple vb and c# guides, and tested out diffrent stuff evrything from making simple calculators just to get a general idee of stuff.
Still have to search up most new things when i program in c#

if i was you then i would first look at vb and download visual basic 2010 or 2008 express wich is free on microsoft's pages (just do a quick google search you'll find it in seconds)
then look at some of the links SelfThought mentioned :3
