Got a virus on my D2Win.dll file (No idea how). Sent the file to my virus vault (AVG Protection). After sending it to the vault it no longer exist in my Diablo II folder (obviously). Downloaded new D2Win.dll file and it gives me this error:

Assertion Failure
Location : , #62
Expression : Unrecoverable internal error 6f8c1404

Whoever can fix this problem will get a FG Donation.

Iirc avg picks up false positives on diablo ii, because of the byte pattern in the program.
If you can just take it out of the vault, if not then try to get a new one from a close friend you trust with the current version.

hmm this just happened to my friend too or something similar with the d2win file

If i restore it and try to open Diablo it gives me this error:

The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000022). Click OK to terminate the application

And behind that it friends up my Resident Shield alert and says the file name (d2win.dll) and the Threat name (Trojan Horse PSW.OnlineGames3.AUEH)

Please keep me informed on this i wanna get friend through this same problem.

Turn off your antivirus, replace the file. Have fun playing.

tried reinstalling, does not work. Got this error trying to start the game APPLICATION WAS UNABLE TO START CORRECTLY (0xc0000022). Click ok to close the application
