What will it be?

It will be a website for San Antonio's Puro Slam team. The current website was made mostly as an inside joke to the poets but in my opinion it's embarrassing to show the general public: http://puroslam.com

I don't need you to come up with any of the text on the website really just provide me with a template to do everything I want to do. I have a general knowledge of several web languages so I can keep up with all the updates and such.

I need good graphics but not so good they take away from the text/meaning of the website. Website needs to be as Facebook integrated as possible

2. Contact Info
3. Poet Profile
4. Pictures/Videos
5. Puro Slam Working


1. The home page will have news and rankings and will be a page I'll have to update at least once a week.
2. Contact info is self explanitory
3. For any of the poets that have been on the National Poetry Slam team or have contributed xx amount of volunteering hours they will have a profile page. On this page will be a bio, contact info, things the poet is promoting, videos and poetry and maybe more...Really just need the template and I can do all of the rest.
4. Self explanatory though I'd hope for some good integration with facebook.
5. Puro Slam Working is a side project I've started as a way to give back to the community and promote our team practicing more year round. Would like it to have links to two pages to apply...Non profit organizations apply for us to volunteer for them and potential volunteers apply so I have a good idea of where might be the best place for them to volunteer.

I'm open minded for any suggestions on the website and look forward to it's completion. Please share your opinions and post a link to your portfolio or websites you have made in the past and if very interested then also a quote on how much it would be.

- What do you mean by this? Do you want a facebook app, or being able to share things on facebook, or linking to facebook? Could you post an example of a webpage that is 'Facebook integrated'?

Requirements
- Do you have any requirements on the design? For example, should it be blue/white like the current site, or are we free to design it ourselves?

I would prefer a different color myself...The color is part of the joke...Makes us appear all sweet and such but Puro slam is a more rough and rowdy scene...It used to be called the Heckledome as a reflection of how the audience treats the poets...Hell I've gotten in a fist fight in the middle of the event once lol. I want there to be good graphics and attractive coloring but a limit on it to an extent that it doesn't take away from the text.

As far as facebook I don't really know any good examples I just assume that there's some way of doing it. Maybe making the Discussions tab of a group show up on the website, have the calendar combined with facebook, the videos maybe too. If it's not possible it's fine but it seems like it would be...I'm very out of the loop about web design and such anymore-haven't worked on any decent project in over 3 years.
