Racism, beyond just be ethically abhorrent, is also incredibly stupid. Imagine thinking that levels of melanin that are due one's ancestral proximity to the equator and subsequent sunlight exposure meant anything other than slight evolutionary divergence for the purposes of Vitamin D absorption and sun protection.

Everybody is racist to an extent.

Humanity's evolution of intelligence is to the point where things such as in-group bias can be, and should be, understood through a more reasoned lens.

Racism is basically non-existent when you grow up around the race in question. It's not genetic at all. Once the Irish integrated enough and stopped being seen as an "other" they stopped being acknowledged as a separate "race" and just got absorbed into whiteness. There is no real biological reason for racism other than humans making bad assumptions.

and that is something that is biological. Humans are biologically tuned to make poor assumptions, but we're also biologically tuned to question those assumptions.
