Twitch streamer Hasan Piker, also known as HasanAbi, has spoken out about the controversy surrounding Hogwarts Legacy. Many have voiced their concern about buying and playing the game due to author J. K. Rowling’s stance on the trans community, but others have insisted that should be free to play the new release, regardless of whether or not they agree with Rowling’s views.

Hasan, who is a left-wing political commentator, had previously talked about getting a bunch of different content creators together to play the game, raising money for charities in the process. This idea was quickly squashed, as he felt a huge backlash for even suggesting the move. Now, he has responded to a clip of one streamer getting upset after being attacked in their stream’s comments for playing Hogwarts Legacy.

Rowling likely only gets a small royalty on the game

She will probably make alot still. This is related to all Harry Potter games, which she would get royalties for.

the lack of logic in this boycott is astounding, and that energy should have been spent on fantastic beasts movies that sucked ass. instead "trans allies" flocked to hate content about the movies as validation JK was losing it and bolstered channels that contribute very little other than increasingly worse rants.
