Did you not just say
"Putins been doing that since the invasion began. Its nuclear blackmail."?
That is not true, is what you should have gathered from that article.
And about the quotes thing, you said it in the Russia/Ukraine thread to Ferdia when she asked if you actually read the articles you post because you weren't aware of information from an article you posted....
If you value journalistic articles more than direct quotes from leaders/politicians then its a mistake in my opinion.
I disagree. Russia has 100% been using their nuclear threat to deter the West from supporting Ukraine.
It's clearly implied in speeches from Putin, Kadyrov, Medvedev and other Kremlin shills; Its also implied from Russia's actions.
"Four days after the launch of the Russian invasion, on 28 February, President Putin ordered Russia's nuclear forces to go into a "special mode of combat duty", a state of high alert."
"Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov stated that further support of Ukraine could cause tensions which could potentially lead to a World War III scenario involving Russia's full arsenal of weapons"
In reality unless Putin goes renegade, the Russia doctrine only allows for a defensive or retaliatory strike. The point is Putin has been intentionally vague on what constitutes a threat to Russia from the West, and it would ultimately be his directive that initiated use of a nuclear weapon by Russia
