Hello, in my country, we have laws against employers discriminating against potential hires based on certain grounds. Race, gender, national origin...etc etc. I am sure we are all familiar with this phenomenon.

What I don't get is, why is it any of the government's business whether private businesses want to discriminate or not? I get it, the government should be for everybody, so they decide that they will not discriminate. This is fine. But if I were a business owner, then I am a private entity. Whether I want to discriminate should not be the government's business.

Imo, the government can only intervene when there is a criminal matter. For example, when a private individual has raped or murdered. However, discrimination is not a criminal matter. It's a civil matter. And it's only against the law because the government says it is. There is nothing inherently wrong or immoral about discrimination, except to the government and maybe the political left.

You're completely allowed to discriminate in private, and there are no laws preventing you from doing so. However, if you want to take your at-home hobby and turn it into business and utilize the advancements of society (ie. legal tender, law enforcement, roads, etc.), then you can do so on some conditions. This includes not discriminating, and requiring such conditions is the power that society/government gets to leverage.

If you're so committed to discriminating though, then you're welcome to run a business and charge for Chuck E Cheese tokens to your heart's delight.

Yes, I have. The Government is what gives legal tender any value. If you want to do business that involves the exchange of that legal tender, then it is within the government's power to use it as leverage.

The government does not own the legal tender. The government gives the legal tender value only because we the people gave that power to it. If the government is acting uppity then we should take that power from it and follow up with some disciplinary action. The government should be our servant. We should tell the government what to do. The government has no business holding the legal tender in our faces "as leverage".
