'What you’re about to read is the first installment in a series, based upon thousands of internal documents obtained by sources at Twitter.

The “Twitter Files” tell an incredible story from inside one of the world’s largest and most influential social media platforms. It is a Frankensteinian tale of a human-built mechanism grown out the control of its designer.

Twitter in its conception was a brilliant tool for enabling instant mass communication, making a true real-time global conversation possible for the first time.
In an early conception, Twitter more than lived up to its mission statement, giving people “the power to create and share ideas and information instantly, without barriers.”

As time progressed, however, the company was slowly forced to add those barriers. Some of the first tools for controlling speech were designed to combat the likes of spam and financial fraudsters.
Slowly, over time, Twitter staff and executives began to find more and more uses for these tools. Outsiders began petitioning the company to manipulate speech as well: first a little, then more often, then constantly.

By 2020, requests from connected actors to delete tweets were routine.
One executive would write to another: “More to review from the Biden team.” The reply would come back: “Handled.”



Celebrities and unknowns alike could be removed or reviewed at the behest of a political party:

We all know, now, that all social medias are polarizing posts/news/comments to generate more audience... Like TV but far worse because foreign powers, crooks, liar , psychos, or extremists have a great voice...


Like your topic; it could be a completely fabricated story, or the deletions could have been perfectly justified. We don't know.

It might have been the republicans that approved trump ban, needed both sides

Why is the free market not able to resolve this? Parler formed into existence, and yet conservatives still overwhelmingly use Twitter and Parler is a hop and skip away from shutting down.

Conservatives are only on Twitter to yell at liberal celebrities and politicians, Parler doesn't have those.

Majority of people are center, it’s why presidents go back and forth each 4-8 years

These links the Biden team wanted removed are just pictures of Hunter Biden's penis. Do you think social media should allow hacked nudes from prominent people on their platform as a policy?

I feel like this is all bait to try and get Trump to finally tweet, but I could be wrong
