Dr.Phil speaks about counterfeit fentynal pills being manufactured in China, sent to cartels and then they are being brought into Canada/America en masse.

Maybe I'm naive, but I always believed that the drug trade valued profit above all else. Why would they be pushing drugs laced with lethal amounts of fetynal, lowering the amount of repeat customers(?)

Is there a different sinister goal in mind? A more profound and conspiring ideal like this is a political move to weaken/kill western civilizations' populations?





Or is it less nuanced, and the manufacturers and cartels just don't give a fuck, and it really is about profit ( Cutting/counterfeiting drugs ) and the prospect of killing millions just isn't a concern, I guess that could be true too eh?

Because a majority of the drugs in America are brought in by America.

Not sure why it's worth pointing out to people who get their news from morons like Joe Rogan and Dr fkn Phil, but China doesn't manufacture fentanyl pills and sell them to cartels. China manufactures the precursor chemicals to fentanyl, which are bought by cartels and manufactured into fentanyl. This is because China manufactures everything, including medicinal supplies, not because China is targeting America for a Reverse Opium War (though, arguably they should if America keeps messing around with Taiwan).

This is just another bunch of lies Americans tell themselves to further vilify an overseas enemy, which conveniently shifts the discussion away from domestic policies where American might have to actually change something about their own rotten society.

Fentanyl is both more addictive and less expensive to acquire than heroin. And sure, some people end of dying due to overdose, but then that creates a ripple of social conditions that may lead other people to substance use themselves.

Live fast, die young. Exploit the addictions of others so you can get money.

Hardly, but they do recognize that you can build up a good society without imperialism, you just have to work hard and act rationally.

Flooding America with fentanyl isn't necessary for that, and is probably detrimental unless things get really bad.

The opioid epidemic preceded the presence of fentanyl. It was started largely by the Sacklers bribing doctors to prescribe Americans their Sackler's narcotics. Fentanyl is a low cost product that came in once the market had been created entirely endogenously.
