Well the senate has now passed Joe Biden's great last pre-lame duck bit of legislation, an 80-15 vote to send it to Biden's desk with progressive democrats and libertarian republicans opposing the mainstream of each party who united to crush workers under the federal government's heel. Gone are the days of workers being able to strike to earn the reasonable working conditions they are due, certainly not with federal protections against retaliation. Biden probably wanted to include a section to reform the Pinkertons.

Thanks to the federal government's intervention to strip workers of their right to organize in protest, rail workers will now be given one sick day per year, and raises that set to be half the rate of inflation.
So lets have a big hurrah for champion of corporate business and bane of the working man, Joe Biden.

I thought Biden solved the railroad problem months ago?

Remember? "Biden averted railroad strike" Everyone pat him on the back for doing such a great job.

Oh wait, that fell through and the media didn't talk about that part. Only when it benefits biden does the media talk about him.

This is the part, makes me smirk.

Trains are NOT environmentally friendly.
Yet the big Green Deal guy is working to keep Trains on the tracks polluting the environment.

Climate Change is one of the biggest scams.
Every person who voted for Biden supports Trains polluting the environment

Yes, it is the democrats who are the union busters. They orchestrated this, Republicans just lent their support to something they could neither do on their own nor instigate.



The real loss weeks ago was unions forfeiting their leverage before an election, with leadership prioritizing helping democrats win an election instead of helping their workers win sick days. Democrats were all too happy to betray the unions in the span furthest removed from the next elections.

Great point, the major unions in usa are heavily influenced by democrats, even to the point where they encourage their members to vote democrat.

I have personal experience with the carpenter's union & Electrician's union. They both have blatantly become democrat controlled and tell people to vote democrat.

Just look at the Teacher's Union, democrat. So it's really more common than people even know.

It's a long-running theme in all developed nations that union leadership is increasingly out of step with the interests and priorities of their rank and file.

Huh? Freight rail moves 1/3 of all US exports and 40% of its long distance freight, but only accounts for 2% of the transportation sector's share of GHG.



I'm with the unions here. They should be able to strike.

Admitting that trains produce GHG is not a good stance.

Biden was the green guy who wanted to shut down oil and gas.

all those green new deal nutjobs are praising Biden for making financial incentives for green renewable energy companies to move from Europe to the united states.
Meanwhile pissing off the EU by doing so.
