Basically, what this means is that newspapers, TV networks...etc deliberately neglecting to report certain news, news that can be argued as being consequential. They do this to keep their readers and viewers in an ignorant state.

I am just wondering if you think this is a problem, and if yes, what we can do about it. It seems to me that it's very difficult to prove that they are intentionally withholding certain news. They can always say, "oh, we didn't know". We all know it's a lie, but we can't prove it directly.

Anyways would love your thoughts.

Yes it is a problem, and no you cant do shit about it on d2jsp... nor can anyone here.

It is not uncommon for US media to take sides and only report what fits their agenda... and with uncommon I mean that's how operate.

But the truth is republicans and democrats want to watch what confirms their beliefs and news channels wouldn't want to change it because they may lose audience.

It seems that the only solution is to start your own news organization that investigates anything with no restrictions.
However, the problem with that is money and avoiding a bullet to the head.

Matthew 7:13-14 KJV
Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

The solution is to follow a few serious institutions. Maybe a couple for strict news(NYT/WaPo/WSJ), a right-leaning one(The Dispatch(or National Review to get closer to what Republican voters believe)), and a left-leaning one(The Atlantic).

I suppose the problem in today's climate is the Trump cult is the most prominent segment of the Republican party, and they are represented by Fox News primetime and most talk-radio guys, but they are 90% bullshit propaganda. So you should probably be aware of what they say because it's relevant in the country, but just know their bias makes Don Lemon blush.
