Although these sexual assaults are not an "official" part of the religion, it is well understood that various forms of sexual assault are traditional among high ranking members of various Christian churches.

So the priests involved were all probably victims of one type of sexual assault or another and this event(s) likely began while they were still underaged.

These cases rarely go to court, but when they do, the perpetrators involved will frequently argue that they feel that there is nothing wrong with they did because it's "part of their religion," granted the national level churches have worked with the local chapters to stop these "traditions."

I mean I am quite sure he got attention of such cases long time ago and probably have teams solving the problems.

The problem is hundreds to thousands of years old and predates the lives all of humans currently alive on planet Earth.

These are new cases. The story is from 11/18/2022 and this investigation was conducted by the attorney general of Maryland.

No, these aren't new cases. Its a compilation of accusations and crimes over 80+ years.
