If china collapsed or even just their economy. It would cause a global... depression? Recession? crisis in the supply chain.

China, Europe, and US are the 3 primary economic engines of the human species. China has the largest PPP of any country. A sudden vanishing of China would indeed plunge the world into a massive crisis.

However, China is also a one party rule hellhole. It's late stage democracy. You vote, the party gets 99%, legitimate opponents are jailed or killed. As toxic as American hegemony has been, we should hope China is never in a position to confer said hegemony.
