As polling shifts heavily into Republican favor, many fear, albeit irrationally, that our sacred democracy will be upended and America will become a totalitarian wasteland where women will be slaves to their man’s wishes and people of color will be forced to pump our gasoline and make square hamburgers for scraps of chicken gizzards and sheep intestines. The transgender community will be wiped out completely and interracial marriage will become illegal once more. Wealthy businessman will run to their bunkers while the peasants will be free to tote guns and fight for survival. Prominent politicians will tout this was the freest and safest election in American history while all deniers will be publicly executed on the spot.

I am, of course, kidding. The republicans will gain a majority in the house and possibly the senate. They will introduce bills that will inevitably be vetoed and legislation will stall for at least two years. We will be told continuously how much better things were for the American people in 2022, and the corporate propaganda machine will ramp up its hyperbolic rhetoric leading all the way to 2024.

Being that the senate is where the real tossups are, what are your most interesting takes? Seems as if Ohio, Pennsylvania and Arizona are the big three senate races. Election deniers vs democrat rubber stamps, vegetables vs bologna sandwiches.

Oh what a great time to be an American!

nothing screams domestic election interference like one group saying “vote the way we tell you to or we will ensure democracy ends like we said it will”

Now I don't know about the "end of democracy" but I sure don't like these people running for office that still wont concede 2020 with zero evidence
What I really don't like is these Secretaries of State that have already claimed they will cast their vote for conservative nominees no matter what the elections tallies are.
Voting is critical to the system.

Dosen't matter who wins at this point.

If they lost its because the other group cheated. If they win its because they are superior in every way an if you say they cheated you're a threat to democracy.

Its going to be the same no matter what party "wins"

Ah yep, YOUR republicans will win the us house, result:

- Religious anti-abortion laws will be maintained
- Smokescreen investigations will be triggered on Biden
- Help to Ukraine could diminish because their voters love Putin

This is sadly correct. This is already turning into a shit show. We are being prepped for possibly week long ballot counts and public confidence in the process is already at an all time low.

it's almost like the right completely ignores the massive voter disenfranchisement efforts by republicans and simply pretends it's the other side that's actually stealing elections, lol. projection at its finest...
