Because in the US we don't guard the schools well even though they have a custodial duty. Local courthouse has more security than a school for example. Heard once that accountants place 10MIL value on each human, so it's crazy that all that value in a school goes unprotected yet other government buildings have armed guards at entrances. Blame guns tho, that is an easy hot take. And vote to eliminate cops and teachers on school staff for more administrators to focus on counciling or some shit.

Thread got real quiet all of a sudden, wonder why.

Adding school security does not work. Remember Uvalde? Where there were police around and he still ran in and killed a bunch of kids? And all the evidence that police are far more hostile to minority students. And all the evidence that it reduces educational attainment.

The easy solution is actually "just put police there", but we know for a fact it doesn't work. Meanwhile we have entire countries removing guns to solve mass shootings.
