You know what all the parents would overwhelmingly vote yes for at this point?

This Texas law: https://guides.sll.texas.gov/protest-rights/employment-strikes

Not only is it prohibited for teachers to go on strike, you also become ineligible for unemployment and other benefits if you do.

I like this part... "Is it legal for teachers to strike?
Technically, public employees do not have a legally protected right to strike in Washington state. But there are no specified penalties for striking unless a judge orders them. Districts can and have taken teachers unions to court over the legality of striking, and won."

It made me think of something rather profound...

A law without penalties isn't a law at all.

Boom.

Reason 1/1,000,000 I am so proud to be a Texan. These Seattle teachers are allowed to hold the kids hostage to get more money and do less work.

Teaching is a job. But not just any job. They get every holiday off and a couple months straight every summer. They work in a climate controlled environment with little to no physical activity minus standing (oh no) and walking to their room. They get plenty enough money to make a comfortable living and full benefits.

These people are just taking advantage of their students who they claim to care so much about.

Checked the links. The teachers are lying about what's been proposed.

Good example of how dumb the average voter is. Instead of solving systemic problems they want quick fixes that pushes talent out of the system.
