California Department of Justice on monday June 22nd, 2022 posted personal information of Firearm permit holders Publicly. (which makes up the majority of legal firearm owners in California)
The information included the full name, birthday, race, and address of every permit holder in the state, as well as the date permits were issued.

They claim it was a mistake during the launch of their 2022 Firearms Dashboard Portal.
However I don't know any competent website administrator who would have made this mistake.

These people are now in potential risk of attack or abuse due to this happening.
Do you think this was done intentionally?

we dont have "permits" to own guns just a record of sales. ya things might have changed?

i suppose all the agencies will down load all the info into their data bases wont have to go through procedure? now?

Reporters were asking them for this information via FOIA requests and it was being granted. This is intentional.

According to firearm news outlet The Reload, personal information was leaked for at least 2,891 people in Los Angeles County with standard licenses, as well as 420 reserve officers, 244 judge permits, 63 people with a place of employment permits and seven custodial officers.

The risk of identity theft automatically increases for everyone on this leak.

The following, but not limited to, also had their personal information leaked... (such as Full Name, Home Address and Date of Birth, etc)
244 Judges
7 prison officials
63 people with place of employment permit. (security guards)
420 police officers

This is extremely dangerous for these people and their families. Criminals and gang members could cause real damage with this information.
